“If you don't see the book you want on the shelves, write it.”
Who is this author and student success advocate?
Aniesha Jackson is a proud mother, school counselor, and author who desires for children to be socially, mentally, and emotionally healthy. To that end, Aniesha creates literature to help children positively and proactively respond to real-life situations that arise in their lives.
As a counselor, Aniesha uses books frequently to supplement her lessons on character education, social skills, self-esteem, and academic success. Dismayed by some of the out of touch scenarios and solutions, Aniesha decided to write books for parents and educators to help their young scholars successfully handle circumstances they encounter in a realistic and practical way.
Aniesha holds a Master's degree in School Counseling from UNC-Chapel Hill and has been an educator for over 15 years in various capacities. She lives in North Carolina with her husband and four children.
Kindness and Respect, Oh Yeah!
"'Cause that is the only way!"
The Kindness and Respect mantra is both a core theme of my books and the core of who I am.
I am commanded to show love and through my literature and career, I share the whys and the hows to be kind and respectful to everyone, including yourself.
In the video below (at 20 months pregnant!), I share this message during a taping of New Jersey's Classroom Close-Up's television program.
